Founded in 1985, Mesures Alternatives des Basses-Laurentides is dedicated to developing and maintaining a different way of doing justice.
It stands out through our broad community involvement.
We strive to establish a justice system centred around the concept of reparation for harm done and the accountability of the parties involved.
We believe that the people involved in a conflict or dispute are able to own their behaviour in order to resolve the situation, while ensuring that each party’s rights and responsibilities are respected.
Our actions also promote education and awareness for the members of the community. We call on them to participate in the young offenders’ process of accountability.
